Job Title: FIM (Foundational Infrastructure Modernization) Network Architect
Job Location: 100% Remote
Job Type: Contract – 12 Months
Work Schedule: 35hrs a week - Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Pay Rate: $80-$90/hr
SCOPE OF SERVICES Network – Routing and Switching: design, and implementation
TASKS:
1\. Participate in design meetings and reviews from a Network perspective on assigned projects.
2\. Implement networking solution to meet the business requirements and at the same time meet Best practices guidelines.
3\. Collaborate with the Architect teams for developing operable solutions for Citywide requirements.
4\. Lead build for installing new network devices.
5\. Follow the process for new devices commissioning.
6\. Configure ports, configure new switches, and apply the base templates configurations, integrate the switch into production network.
7\. Develop and validate base configurations for operational use.
8\. All tasks to follow the standard procedures.
9\. Open TAC cases as needed and fix root causes related to the project deployments.
10\. Review and implement, network resilience and network failover validations as directed.
11\. Implement and integrate for complex network upgrades and implementations.
12\. Complete any additional tasks assigned by the manager.
MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Note: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered
1\. Minimum 12 years of experience in the field of networking.
2\. Must have hands-on experience with BGP, MPLS, OSPF, IS-IS routing protocols in a large environment.
3\. Deep understanding on virtualization, load balancing and hyperconverged infrastructure.
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
1\. Hands on experience in Cisco’s ACI technology
2\. Additional experience in the field of load balancing.
3\. Good project management skills
4\. Ability to simultaneously work on multiple project tasks
