Job Title: GIS Analyst
Job Location: Remote
Pay Rate: $40 per hours
Job Type: Contract – 12 Months
Work Schedule/Hours: Normal Business Hours, Monday through Friday (not including a mandatory unpaid meal break after 6 hours of work), 35 work hours per week
TASKS:
• Develop and manage the GIS integration GIS/CAD design for mapping optimization.
• Evaluate and implement the cartographic workflow for the technical oversight on the NG911 implementation.
• Develop a sustainable workflow for authorizing and updating map tiles.
• Enforce NG 9-1-1 GIS compliance with industry encompassing the complete workflow from LVF/ECRF creation through call-taking.
• Perform Geospatial transformations and analysis for collaboration with the other NG911 workstreams.
MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Note: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered
- ArcGIS: Mastery of ESRI's ArcGIS software suite, including ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online
- Geospatial Data Analysis: Ability to analyze and interpret spatial data
- Geospatial Data Analysis: Ability to analyze and interpret spatial data
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience as GIS Analyst using ArcSDE and SQL Server.
- Experience analyzing tasks, structures and requirements to provide solutions
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Map Design: Skill in creating visually appealing and informative maps.
- Map Production: Experience in producing maps for various purposes and audiences.
- Technical Writing: Ability to document GIS processes and methodologies.
- Learning Agility: Willingness and ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies.
- At least 2 years of experience in a particular technical and/or business application, product, platform, methodology.
- Experience designing solutions based on customer needs and technical considerations
- Experience in the following technology areas: GIS, Public Safety systems
