Our client is seeking a Claims Director. This person will be providing strategic direction and leadership for the workers compensation operations. This is a Full Time Opportunity in Albany or New York City

Responsibilities:

• Providing leadership and direction in managing large complex claims and litigations.
• Will be providing mentoring, direction and technical advice to staff
• Will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing organizational performance via metrics and data
• Will be working with Actuarial, Analytics Teams and Underwriting in regards to claims issues or trend affecting the business
• Is responsible for managing claim department budget, resources, etc
• Provides claims expertise and claim developments to Senior management, Executive/CEO

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Business, Insurance or related field – Required
• 10 plus years’ experience in Workers’ Compensation Claims leadership
• Demonstrated ability in the use of metrics and data to drive and assure continuous improvement and increased efficiencies - Required
