Our client is seeking an Actuary Casualty Supervisor in NYC. This person will be managing and leading the Actuarial compensation team with job clarification, establishing goals, development plan creations, mentoring and coaching, performance reviews.

 Responsibilities:

• Oversee, design, and implement process of reserve analysis and monitoring ensuring actuarial integrity.
• Develop actuarially sound loss and loss adjustment expense reserve balance
• Work with external consultants on workers compensation loss reserving, data issues, changes in settlement and case reserving patterns
• Work with all levels of managements and departments - Claims, Underwriting, Finance, Senior Management.

Requirements:

•  Bachelor’s Degree or higher
• Five years of actuarial experience in one or more of the following activities: actuarial or statistical work for operating units or management; governmental regulatory actuarial functions; OR performing actuarial computations for reserves, premium rates, and/or policy forms
• Preferred Candidates should be an Associate of Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial
• Society (ACAS/FCAS) and American academy of Actuaries member (MAAA).
