The Revenue Cycle Generalist helps our communities thrive by supporting multiple clients with revenue cycle projects and streamline processes associated with Coding, Charge Edit Review, Insurance Verification, Manual and Electronic Payments, and Accounts Receivables.
Responsibilities
Reviews payment postings for accuracy and to ensure account balances are current
Insurance verification
Reviews patient statements for accuracy
Reviewing and submitting patient claims
Resolves payment and billing errors
Answers patients’ payment, billing, and insurance questions and resolves complaints Contacts payers to resolve payer issues, expedite claim processing and maximize medical claim reimbursement
Maintains credit balances of patients and payers ensuring timely refunds within government guidelines/regulations
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
6+ months healthcare industry experience
Limited prior consulting preferred but not required
Highly detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills
Strong financial analysis skills, analytical mindset, intellectual curiosity
Investigate problems and develop/communicate solutions
Meet assigned deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service
Act and operate independently, with minimal supervision
Strong Excel Skills
Associates degree required
Preferred Skills
Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office
Experience with eCW platform
