    PURPOSE SUMMARY:

    The Merchandise Coordinator is responsible for documenting, preparing, and trafficking of all merchandise through the studio from receipt of product to return to client.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Secures and documents all merchandise as it moves through the studio process including receiving shipment, tagging and entering product into sample management systems or tracking document, as assigned.
    • Responsible for the product storage area including its efficiency and cleanliness.
    • Notifies appropriate team members of product arrival
    • Communicates merchandise issues with all individuals in which merchandise will come in contact with throughout the photo process and the Project Manager of product division
    • Distributes merchandise to all responsible parties throughout the photo process based on photo layouts and photo schedules, as well as collects merchandise after photo process is completed.
    • Maintains database, spreadsheets, and forms in order to update status and location of merchandise for multiple parties including the Project Manager and Studio Manager.
    • Runs reports to ensure product is being shot in consecutive order in accordance with due dates
    • Performs sample style preparation that could include but is not limited to hanging, pairing, steaming, cleaning, and shaping to style guide specifications.
    • Runs production completion checks after product is shot, moves product to appropriate set if missing production or alerts Project Manager if no set is available.
    • Checks on photo sets multiple times a day
    • Ability to train new hires and quality check co-workers on the processes and procedures of merchandise receipt, check in, product preparation, relocation and product return.
    • Maintains prop racks that are staged on set and in merchandise area
    • Ensure all products are prepared and packed for return to client. Initiates shipping coordination and determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates. Schedules carriers and couriers.
    • Attends pre-production, weekly, and client meetings as needed
    • Maintains supplies needed for Shipping and Merchandise prep.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Requires strong attention to detail and outstanding organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously with seamless execution.
    • Requires both accurate and efficient data entry.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring seamless execution through stellar organizational and time management skills
    • Aptitude for consistently managing and organizing large quantities of data related to assets, model and reporting characteristics
    • Solves non-routine problems in collaboration with manager or project manager; takes initiative to modify procedures and processes and makes contributions that impact work team results as appropriate.
    • Candidate should demonstrate planning skills and the ability to prioritize using information around due dates, clients, internal resource skill sets and when to escalate for assistance and awareness.
    • Ability to work both independently and within a changing team.
    • Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedules.
    • Being respectful and courteous when interacting with others. A calm and collaborative demeanor is expected when working through conflict. Must have the ability to open and receptive to feedback.
    • Moderate-level skill in Microsoft Office suite, specifically, Word and Excel. Within Excel, the candidate should be able at a minimum to execute a search, sort a list by applying multiple filter settings, populate a new column of data in an existing spreadsheet and manage file conversions among csv and text-based files to Excel.
    • Experience in utilizing web-based database management tools such is desired. (Examples: Shotflow, Workhorse, Barcoding software.)
    • Experience using MAC operating systems is desired.
    • Experience using digital communication tools such as Webex or MiTeams chat tools is desired.
    • Must have proficient basic math skills and ability to read, write, and speak English.
    • 10 key data entry accuracy.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Ability to stand and work on a cement studio floor for up to a full workday.
    • Repetitive use of hands and fingers (i.e., packing, tagging, steaming, pinning, data entry).
    • Must be able to see and hear in order to gather and input information; respond to face-to-face and telephone inquiries.
    • Must be able to drive and have a valid driver's license with the resources to report to shoot locations outside of the studio. You must have the resources to drive for needed materials (props, clothes) at a moment's notice.
    • Must be able to occasionally lift, push, pull, and carry materials weighing a maximum of 50 lbs.
    • Ability to walk throughout a warehouse floor following our internal safety guidelines.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High school degree or equivalent education
    • 1-2 years general merchandising experience.
    • Knowledge of the photographic process such as reading and interpreting style guides.

    Benefits:

    The salary range for this full-time position is $19-21 and commensurate with experience and skills.
