    Job Description

    We are at an exciting milestone of serving the community for 10 years and we’re ready to take it to the next level! As part of making its programs more effective and far-reaching to impact as many students as possible, we are re-launching the brand and developing a new marketing strategy.

    As a critical element to successful new strategy implementation, Passion for Life, Inc. is looking for a creative Graphic Designer to join our growing marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity to help us build our brand identity, as well as support various marketing initiatives. We are seeking self-motivated interns who will be key contributors to the Passion for Life, Inc. marketing team. this position will report to the  Marketing team leader. While the position is unpaid, you will gain valuable hands-on experience.

    GRAPHIC DESIGNERS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Work with other creative team members to produce content.
    • Help make design choices (e.g., fonts and colors) for all content the company will use.
    • Use photo editing skills to create elongated photos for email campaigns and banner ads.
    • Create email heroes using composition and typography skills.
    • Assist with creating marketing campaign graphics using Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator.
    •  Work with the marketing team to incorporate brand elements and relevant market research findings into the website.
    • Continually refresh content and implement new designs based on need.
    • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
    • Excellent communication skills - you have a way with words & can connect easily with others.
    • Creativity and willingness to work on own initiative.

    Estimated time commitment: 5-10 hours / week depending needs, including monthly meetings and weekly conference calls Busiest time period: work is consistent throughout the school year Term limit: 3 month commitment  

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Must understand and execute basic functions in Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Illustrator.
    • Must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of design composition.
    • Must understand working with brand guidelines.
    • Must present a portfolio along with a resume.
    • Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
    • Effective project management and time management skills are critical
    • Proficient in Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
    • Must be highly organized with keen attention to detail.
    • Must be dependable, enthusiastic, and must have a go-getter attitude.
    • Must take initiative.

    PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    • Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Information Technology, Arts, or Computer Science.
    • Experience with graphic design for a non-profit organization preferred
