    Job Description:

    As a Journeyman at Streib Systems company, you will play a vital role in the successful implementation and maintenance of security, fire and low-volt systems for our clients. Your expertise and technical skills will be essential in delivering high-quality service and ensuring the utmost safety and protection of our customers' assets.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain security and fire systems, including access control, intrusion detection, fire alarms, surveillance cameras, and other related equipment.
    2. Conduct site visits and inspections to assess client requirements, identify potential issues, and recommend appropriate security and fire system solutions.
    3. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to develop and implement system designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
    4. Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, providing exceptional customer service throughout the project lifecycle.
    5. Perform system programming, configuration, and integration tasks to ensure optimal system performance and functionality.
    6. Conduct system testing, verification, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical issues promptly.
    7. Train clients and end-users on the proper operation and maintenance of security and fire systems.
    8. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations to provide informed recommendations and deliver innovative solutions to clients.
    9. Adhere to safety protocols and best practices to mitigate risks and maintain a safe working environment.
    10. Complete accurate and detailed documentation, including work orders, service reports, and inventory records.
    11. Collaborate with team members to identify process improvements, share knowledge, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our services.

    Qualifications:

    1. Journeyman or equivalent certification in the electrical or electronics field is required.
    2. Proven experience (4+ years) in the installation, maintenance, and repair of security and fire systems.
    3. Solid understanding of security and fire system components, such as control panels, sensors, cameras, access control devices, and alarm systems.
    4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
    5. Strong technical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve system issues efficiently.
    6. Knowledge of relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), etc.).
    7. Familiarity with networking principles and protocols, including IP-based systems and integration.
    8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
    9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
    10. NICET Level II Fire Alarm Systems certified; preferred
    11. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites as needed.
