    Compensation

    $25–$35/hour for group coaching + additional earning opportunities through personal training and specialized coaching

    As one of the first coaches to join D1 Training Lincolnshire, you'll have the opportunity to grow with the business from the ground up.

    Your group coaching rate will be based on experience, qualifications, and responsibilities. As our membership base grows, personal training opportunities increase, and your responsibilities within the facility expand, your earning potential can grow with it.

    We are looking for coaches who want to build a career—not simply work a few hours on the training floor. Coaches who develop strong relationships with athletes and families, build a personal training clientele, take initiative, and grow into additional responsibilities will have opportunities to significantly increase their total earnings over time.

    Compensation and total earning potential will vary based on experience, availability, performance, personal training volume, and responsibilities.

    D1 Training is an athletic-based group training facility for adults and youth athletes ages 7 and up. Our mission is simple:

    We combine expert coaching, proven training systems, and a high-energy environment to help every athlete improve performance, build confidence, and reach their goals.

    D1 Training Lincolnshire is a brand-new facility, and we're building our coaching team and culture from the ground up.

    Position Overview

    As a D1 Strength & Conditioning Coach, you'll lead group workouts, provide individualized guidance, and create an environment where athletes feel challenged, supported, and motivated.

    You'll work with athletes of all ages and abilities—from youth athletes developing foundational movement skills to adults pursuing strength and fitness goals to competitive athletes looking to improve performance.

    This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about strength & conditioning, athlete development, and performance coaching and wants the opportunity to grow with a new facility.

    Because you'll be joining during the early stages of our business, you'll have the opportunity to establish yourself with our founding members, build relationships with athletes and families from the beginning, and become a key member of our coaching team.

    Evening and weekend availability is required based on class schedules, member needs, and facility events.

    What You'll Do

    Lead group training sessions for youth, adults, and teams

    Provide personal training and individualized coaching when needed

    Teach proper form, technique, and movement mechanics

    Modify workouts to meet athletes at their current ability level

    Help athletes improve strength, speed, agility, conditioning, and overall performance

    Provide coaching cues, corrections, encouragement, and accountability throughout each session

    Build strong relationships with athletes and families

    Maintain a high-energy, positive, and professional training environment

    Start and finish sessions on time while maintaining consistent coaching standards

    Support member retention through exceptional coaching, accountability, and service

    Identify opportunities to support athletes through personal training and individualized coaching

    Maintain a clean, safe, and organized training environment

    Participate in coach meetings, continuing education, camps, combines, and community events

    Follow D1 Training programming, safety standards, and coaching methodology

    What We're Looking For

    1+ year of experience in strength & conditioning, personal training, sports performance, or group fitness

    Strong understanding of exercise science, movement patterns, and safe exercise execution

    Ability to coach athletes of different ages, abilities, and experience levels

    High energy, positive attitude, and ability to motivate others

    Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

    Professional, dependable, and punctual

    Coachable and committed to continuous learning

    CPR/AED/First Aid certification required

    Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field preferred

    Nationally recognized certification such as CSCS, NASM, NSCA, USAW, ACE, or similar preferred

    Evening and weekend availability required
