    SALES MANAGER / GENERAL MANAGER

    JOB DESCRIPTION

     

    StretchLab is seeking an experienced General Manager/Sales Manager to oversee sales and operations for our brand new studio that will be located in the Long Beach Marketplace shopping center at Pacific Coast Highway and 2nd Street near the Long Beach marina.

     

    Founded in 2015 in Venice, California, StretchLab is the industry leader in offering one-on-one assisted and group stretching. With co-founders coming from the personal training industry, Stretch Lab has created a variety of offerings to empower clients to ‘Live Long’.  StretchLab has gathered a team of experts already certified in an array of related fields – physical therapy, chiropractic medicine, yoga, Pilates, and more – and brought in the world’s leading authority on stretching and flexibility to deliver on the promise of having the finest team of stretching professionals gathered anywhere. StretchLab’s proprietary flexologist ™ training ensures that their clients receive a world class stretching session. StretchLab currently has close to 80 locations open nationwide with immediate plans for expansion.

     

    StretchLab Long Beach Marina is among the newest studios in the franchise network. At StretchLab, we aim to improve lives through the power of stretch. The General Manager will live these ideals and lead the team towards success.

     

    POSITION:

    The successful General Manager will oversee all Studio functions including membership sales and growth, retail sales, and operations effectiveness. In the early stages, the GM will also oversee all Flexologists, although s/he will soon designate a Lead Flexologist, who will be assigned the duties of leading the Flexologist team. The General Manager will report directly to the owner.[i]

     

     

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • 2+ years of fitness sales experience.
    • Confident in generating personal sales and training/coaching Sales Representatives.
    • Work independently and with a team towards shared goals.
    • Manage and drive all revenue streams from membership sales to retail.
    • Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills in person, on the telephone, through social media, via email, and in front of small to medium sized audiences.
    • Recognize areas of improvement and make changes using good judgment, using relevant data and tools.
    • An affinity and passion for fitness.
    • Solid writing and grammar skills, with an attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Highly organized, proficient in data management, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
    • Professional, punctual, reliable, and neat.
    • Trustworthy. A commitment to secure confidential information.
    • Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers, clients, and the general public.
    • Proficiency with computers and studio software, building to mastery of these tools. Leads various team members to use software effectively.
    • Reports directly to studio owner.

     

    DUTIES

    • Lead generation including grass roots marketing, use of social media, traditional direct marketing, and in-person networking.
    • Implement sales process to schedule prospective clients into Introductory classes.
    • Drive Membership sales through outside sales and business development efforts.
    • Manage staff schedules towards effective use of studio resources.
    • Coordinate with all vendors, ensuring that studio retail/products are stocked with accurate inventory counts.
    • Supervise Sales Representatives and Lead Flexologist.
    • Proficiency in ClubReady, to include revenue reports, attendance reports, and other productivity reports.
    • Independently make decisions related to high level customer service based on studio policies and procedures.
    • Collect outstanding dues.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fitness studio, with particular attention to following all COVID-19-related safety and cleanliness procedures.
    • Enforce StretchLab policies and procedures.
    • Ensure all forms, administrative supplies, and studio literature is stocked and visible, with ample supplies available, as needed.
    • Schedule and participate in networking/community events and studio promotions.
    • Strategically manage marketing campaigns to generate leads for the studio, making decisions based on measurable data.
    • Any other duties as assigned.
