Job Description

Strong Brews is seeking an Operations Manager to manage and direct all of the Operations activities including Production and Maintenance. The Operations Manager will report directly to the Director of Operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the processing and flow of materials through the facility and manage the activities of the production employees
• Guide and oversee the safety policies and procedures of the facility
• Coordinate all departments on site in order to produce to schedule and customer requirements
• Work closely with Quality Control to ensure high product quality and consistency
• Maintain Good Manufacturing Standards (GMP)
• Ensure the production department follows protocol that is in the Food Safety Program.
• Maintain and oversee the security policies and procedures of the facility
• Documentation:
  • In cooperation with Quality manager, approve all new facility and production Standard Operating Procedures
  • Review all operations process and personnel documentation
  • Submit and record all correspondence to operations related regulatory agencies
  • Review customer and product reports and respond as needed
  • Review and respond when appropriate, to all product rejects and returns

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in or related to field of milling science/particle engineering in nutritional ingredients and/or food manufacturing
• Organizational and project management skills
• Strong team leader with effective problem solving abilities
• Working knowledge of machinery operation and preventive maintenance
• Working knowledge of bottling line equipment
• Working knowledge of processing and handling equipment
• Understanding of regulatory environment specific to the food and dietary supplement industry
• Ability to work independently of direct supervision, but in conjunction with quality and other groups
• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
