The Stronger Youth Brands is looking for a detail and process-oriented Global Purchasing & Logistics (Merchandise) Manager to maintain and grow the merchandise offerings we provide to our Little Kickers franchise partners across the globe! Via purchasing, receiving, processing orders, distribution, forecasting, and customer service this role ensures the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of our franchise communities merchandise needs - including apparel, on-field equipment, season prizes, and more!
Stronger Youth Brands (“SYB”) is a franchising platform offering diversified, high-quality child-centric enrichment programming to discerning families. Our growing team supports over 400 Soccer Shots franchises (US & Canada) and Little Kickers franchises (Global) running intro-to-soccer programs for kids ages 2-8.
We serve over 500,000 kids each year in North America alone, and we’re growing!
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Procurement & Inventory
Create and submit purchase orders to vendors as needed in a timely manner
Enter purchase orders daily, confirm accurate product was received, and submit bills timely and accurately.
Conduct market research on new products, and source new products as needed
Monitor and optimize inventory levels, lead times, buying patterns, reorder points, etc.
Review and resolve vendor invoice discrepancies.
Work closely with the Accounting Department to ensure invoices are paid on time to vendors.
Perform monthly inventory closing procedures by entering inventory counts and monthly shopping cart transactions, and resolving any discrepancies as needed.
Plan and prepare to compile and submit large booking orders for products once per quarter.
Oversee monthly and yearly physical inventory counts.
Vendor Management
Research, identify, and evaluate new vendors for merchandise needs
Act as primary contact for Little Kickers Merchandise vendors.
Hold vendors accountable to expectations and deadlines.
Budgeting and forecasting
Prepare recommendations for forecasting/budgeting updates as needed.
Use historical data, anticipated growth, and trends in the franchise community to forecast stocking needs.
Leverage vendor relationships and buying volume to source new product samples and negotiate pricing alongside Director, Merchandise.
Order Fulfillment & Logistics
Ensure orders are submitted, processed, and shipped timely with third-party vendors.
Coordinate deliveries as needed and track the status of deliveries.
Facilitate returns and exchanges timely.
Identify areas of improvement for order fulfillment and logistics processes.
Customer Service
Maintain accurate and appropriate information on consumer shopping cart, including inventory totals, product images, descriptions, and shipping details.
Act as subject matter expert on Little Kickers merchandise offerings.
Provide excellent written and verbal communication to end consumers.
Troubleshoot and resolve product/service issues and concerns.
Coordinate communication with franchisees and end consumers on any changes/updates to inventory policies, processes, and deadlines.
Anticipate customer needs and track reoccurring issues.
Required Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree, or associate degree in a relevant field
7 + years of experience working in a purchasing/procurement role preferred.
Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite
