Structural Designer

Area: Chicago or Lisle, IL
Shift: 1st Shift

Job Summary:

• Prepare structural drawings for a diverse array of structures, including buildings, substations, and more — spanning reinforced concrete, steel, and masonry
• Apply company and industry standards, guidelines, specifications, and procedures when preparing design drawings, including for reinforced concrete, steel design, welded and bolted steel connections, and foundation details
• Manage the quality review process for assigned projects
• Assist in file management, including project documentation, scoping documents, design input documentation, quality checklists, and project filing
• Regularly communicate and coordinate project activities with senior-level designers and engineers to resolve design issues
• Work independently with general direction while collaborating effectively with other team members
• Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD and/or MicroStation to support design deliverables
