The Duties will include:
- In this role, you will engage in the designing, developing, and implementing of cutting-edge structural systems for high-tech or industrial facilities and equipment with a primary emphasis on for steel as well as shallow, mat, and deep foundations
- Develop innovative solutions to optimize structural integrity and performance
- Design and optimize steel structures, including trusses, frames, and other load-bearing elements, with a strong emphasis on efficiency, durability, and safety
- Analyze existing structures for new loads and provide recommendations for strengthening where required
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations while producing comprehensive technical documentation, reports, and drawings for structural evaluations, retrofits, and new construction
- Beyond typical engineering design, as well as take part in inspections, structural evaluations, construction support, permitting support, and preliminary engineering for concept validation and cost estimating purposes.
- Leading project that are budgeted between the range of 50 – 250 engineering manhours, as well as working alongside the department on 4,000-6,000 manhours sized projects
- Utilzing your structural steel and reinforced concrete design experience and detailing the primary requirements of the structural engineering of a project.
- Utilizing seismic analysis and design for single-story structures and equipment.
- Develop drawings and structural calculations that are appropriate for permitting and third-party review.
Ideal Candidate will Have:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Structural Engineering or in Civil Engineering an ABET-accredited institution.
- 5+ years structural engineering design and analysis within the construction / architectural industry
- Professional Engineer License
- Revit / AutoCAD proficiency
- Working experience with seismic analysis, design, and detailing. Experience with AISC 341 detailing is required for steel structures.
- Working experience with developing and reviewing structural calculations and drawings for permitting/third party review is required.
- Proficiency with RISA products (3D, Foundation, Connection, Calc), Mathcad Prime, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Microsoft 365 products.
