Job Description
RESPEC is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our engineering team in Alaska (Anchorage, Juneau, Palmer, or Fairbanks). The structural engineers at RESPEC collaborate across multiple offices. We design a wide range of innovative projects utilizing state-of-the-art technologies. Projects include schools, healthcare facilities, seismic evaluations, industrial facilities and structures, structural failure condition assessments, and projects for the Department of Defense.
The Structural Engineer will be a part of our growing Alaskan Structural team. The engineer’s structural analysis and design experience will support new construction and rehabilitations/renovations in collaboration with architects and civil, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection engineers. Interpreting building codes and standards, preparing structural plans and details, and conducting related construction observations for RESPEC’s structural projects—while applying technical knowledge to meet all stakeholder expectations—are key aspects of this position. Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise. The typical salary range for this position is $100,000 to $140,000. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package. RESPEC is a 100 percent employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) after a qualifying period.
