Build What Matters. Lead Work That Lasts.

Are you a structural engineer who wants more than just another set of drawings on your desk?

We’re recruiting on behalf of a respected, design-forward civil and structural engineering firm in the Pacific Northwest that’s known for tackling complex projects, valuing collaboration, and investing deeply in its people. This is an opportunity to step into a high-impact role where your technical expertise, leadership skills, and judgment truly matter.

If you’re energized by solving challenging structural problems, leading teams, and seeing projects through from concept to construction, this role was built with you in mind.

    The Opportunity

As a Structural Project Engineer / Project Manager, you’ll play a key role on a collaborative, technically excellent structural engineering team. You’ll lead projects through all phases—conceptual design, detailed analysis, construction documentation, and coordination—while working closely with architects, consultants, and clients.

This is more than a production role. You’ll:

    • Shape structural solutions for complex, non-prescriptive buildings

    • Lead and mentor engineers

    • Guide performance-based design and peer review processes

    • Have a real voice in project direction and delivery

You’ll be trusted with responsibility, supported by experienced colleagues, and given room to grow—technically and professionally.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    • Lead structural design efforts using a variety of systems and materials

    • Develop construction documents, calculations, and technical narratives

    • Manage and mentor in-house design teams

    • Coordinate closely with architects and design consultants

    • Lead and participate in performance-based design, including peer review

    • Contribute to the design of commercial office, residential, and healthcare projects

    • Help drive quality, efficiency, and thoughtful engineering solutions

    What We’re Looking For

    • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis)

    • 6+ years of structural design experience

    • Licensed Structural Engineer (S.E.)

    • Experience with performance-based design of tall buildings and/or seismic renovations

    • Working knowledge of LATB, ASCE 41, or similar methodologies

    • Experience navigating the peer review process for non-prescriptive structures

    • Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate across disciplines

    • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

    Work Environment & Travel

    • Primarily office-based work with occasional site visits (Greater Seattle area)

    • Some domestic travel for projects, conferences, or recruiting

    • Hybrid schedule: 3 days in-office / 2 days remote (after onboarding)

    Compensation & Benefits

    • $110,000 – $150,000 base salary, depending on experience

    • Paid overtime for hours worked beyond 40/week (paid quarterly)

    • Strong potential for career growth and leadership advancement

    • Medical (HSA with employer contributions), dental, and vision

    • Company-paid life and AD&D insurance

    • ORCA card provided
