The Opportunity
As a Structural Project Engineer / Project Manager, you’ll play a key role on a collaborative, technically excellent structural engineering team. You’ll lead projects through all phases—conceptual design, detailed analysis, construction documentation, and coordination—while working closely with architects, consultants, and clients.
This is more than a production role. You’ll:
Shape structural solutions for complex, non-prescriptive buildings
Lead and mentor engineers
Guide performance-based design and peer review processes
Have a real voice in project direction and delivery
You’ll be trusted with responsibility, supported by experienced colleagues, and given room to grow—technically and professionally.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead structural design efforts using a variety of systems and materials
Develop construction documents, calculations, and technical narratives
Manage and mentor in-house design teams
Coordinate closely with architects and design consultants
Lead and participate in performance-based design, including peer review
Contribute to the design of commercial office, residential, and healthcare projects
Help drive quality, efficiency, and thoughtful engineering solutions
What We’re Looking For
Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis)
6+ years of structural design experience
Licensed Structural Engineer (S.E.)
Experience with performance-based design of tall buildings and/or seismic renovations
Working knowledge of LATB, ASCE 41, or similar methodologies
Experience navigating the peer review process for non-prescriptive structures
Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate across disciplines
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Work Environment & Travel
Primarily office-based work with occasional site visits (Greater Seattle area)
Some domestic travel for projects, conferences, or recruiting
Hybrid schedule: 3 days in-office / 2 days remote (after onboarding)
Compensation & Benefits
$110,000 – $150,000 base salary, depending on experience
Paid overtime for hours worked beyond 40/week (paid quarterly)
