Position Overview: We’re looking for an experienced Structural Steel Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating structural and miscellaneous steel for commercial construction and federal projects, with the ability to analyze drawings, prepare detailed cost estimates, and communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients.

This position offers remote work flexibility, while maintaining close collaboration with our Chattanooga headquarters.

Responsibilities:

• Review architectural and structural drawings to prepare accurate estimates for steel fabrication and erection
• Quantify materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs
• Analyze bid documents, specifications, and addenda for scope and pricing accuracy
• Prepare and present detailed proposals and bid packages
• Collaborate with project management and fabrication teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and clients
• Track and update cost data for ongoing projects

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience estimating structural or miscellaneous steel for commercial and/or federal projects
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, FabTrol, Tekla EPM, or similar)
• Strong understanding of fabrication and erection processes
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
