    Grizzly Iron, Inc. is looking for talented ironworkers who can work both in the shop and on-site, fabricating and erecting structural steel for luxury homes in Phoenix and the surrounding areas. We are a fast-growing company dedicated to providing clients with the highest possible quality ironwork. The hourly rate will be negotiated after an in-shop weld test and interview. Responsibilities: • Read and understand architectural blueprints • Read and understand detailed drawings, including weld callouts • Manage a small team and work alongside them to produce projects • Be able to make decisions when faced with unexpected challenges • Maintaining and inspecting all equipment used on a daily basis. • Must understand the complexity of installations for both structural and ornamental steel • Work on all facets of installation per assigned jobs • Make sure all safety requirements are met while on site • Maintaining schedules to keep jobs on time and on budget • Knowledge of standard welding processes and practices (mig/flux core primarily) • Be able to assess the situation and problem-solve • Ability to operate standard fabrication shop equipment Qualifications: • 5+ years of general fabrication experience, including experience on highly detailed projects • 2+ years of experience in field installation • Must have a clear understanding of installation practices pertaining to stair erection, columns, beams, and balcony rail installation, along with ramadas, canopies, trellises, fences, and gates • Must be a certified welder or able to test for certs • Ability to Tig weld is a plus • Being familiar with OSHA standards and PPE safety practices is a must • Able to operate machinery such as forklifts, reach lifts, augers, and directing cranes • Experience loading trucks and strapping down loads of steel for transit • Experience unloading, such as rigging, picking, and strapping, with safety always being the most important • Bilingual is a plus • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record • Be willing to submit to a background check if required Compensation: $30 - $37 hourly
