About the Role:

American Drilling and Sawing Inc is looking for a skilled Structural Welder to join our growing team in Houston, TX. This is a hands-on role where your craftsmanship and precision will directly contribute to high-quality construction and industrial projects. Responsibilities:

Perform structural welding using MIG, TIG, and/or Stick (SMAW) welding processes on steel and metal components

Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication

Fit, align, and tack weld structural steel assemblies prior to final welding

Inspect completed welds for quality, integrity, and compliance with project specifications

Operate cutting tools, grinders, and other fabrication equipment as needed

Follow all safety protocols including proper use of PPE and adherence to OSHA standards

Collaborate with project supervisors and crew members to meet project deadlines

Requirements:

2+ years of structural welding experience in a construction or industrial environment

Proficiency in MIG, Stick (SMAW), or flux-core welding processes

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols

AWS D1.1 Structural Welding certification preferred

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality welds

Ability to work in various conditions including outdoor job sites and confined spaces

Reliable, safety-conscious, and a strong team player
