  • Responsibilities

    Stryten Energy manufactures proprietary and custom injection molding products serving the industrial lead battery, automotive and consumer markets. Stryten Energy is expanding battery poly manufacturing and recycling output to help solve industry-wide supply constraints.

    The individual is responsible for inspections and tests of products, processes, and materials for all product areas. Provide guidance and partner with production personnel (supervisors and operators) to contain an issue, determine the root cause, and corrective actions. Follow up on customer complaints that pertain to their shift and departments. Comply with Stryten and ISO 9001 procedures and requirements.

    The shift will be 1st shift and 2nd shift. First shift hours are 6 am - 2 pm and Second shift hours are 2 pm - 10 pm.

    Training will be 7am - 3pm, M-F for up to 90 days.

    Pay Rate is $19.31/hour. Second shift is also paid a shift differential.

    Responsibilities:

    • Required to always wear and maintain appropriate PPE and follow all applicable health and safety rules.- PPE includes safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, and uniforms.

      • Health and safety requirements include recurring blood tests and proper industrial hygiene.
    • Perform quality audits and inspections per documented procedures.

    • Perform FSA - First Piece Inspections, create deviations and submit for engineering approval.

    • Provide FSA – first sample approval piece, marked where trim is needed according to customer specifications

    • Contain nonconforming or suspect nonconforming product using Hold Tags, communicating issues to the production team and immediate supervision.

    • Provide day to day quality direction and support to manufacturing in the form of procedures, and guidance.

    • Be available to work flexible shifts to ensure support and proper coverage is available.

    • Monitor and maintain quality workstations on the shop floor – daily validation that gauges and inspection systems are in good working order.

    • Maintain cleanliness of automated inspection system.

    • Responsible to ensure that the respective department equipment used for in-process testing (checks) are within calibration and are conforming to standard requirements (good working order).

    • Measuring parts with calipers, micrometers, and other equipment as necessary to verify product conformance to specifications.

    • Work with the team on problem solving initiatives and link actions and outcomes to Control Plans, PFMEA’s, plant inspection points, and Customer returns.

    • Assist in communication of any changes or replacement of work instructions.

    • Participate with teams for corrective action resolution on internal KPI’s and external customer issues (assembly plant complaint and warranty initiatives).

    • Motivated self-starter that is able to productively work alone and in groups to solve problems.

    • Must have the ability and willingness to work overtime on an as needed/required basis in order to complete work in process and communicate with other shifts.

    • Work within established policies, procedures, practices, and regulations.

    Qualifications:

    Education, Experience, Certifications:

    • Minimum High School degree or GED
    • Experience with gages and other measurement equipment is a plus.

    ** COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE:

    • Understand basic math, statistics
    • Able to read and interpret drawings and specifications
    • Familiar with problem solving – root cause analysis, 5 why, etc.
    • Must be quality and customer oriented
    • Must be able to work independently and in a team-oriented environment on multiple projects
    • Experienced in a manufacturing setting
    • Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
    • Demonstrate basic computer skills -Windows-based programs
    • Able occasionally lift and move up to 40 lbs. for duration of 12 hours
