Job Description

RESPEC seeks a motivated intern for our Castroville, Texas location. This role involves all aspects of site civil design. The internship will be offered during the summer semester from May 2026 - August 2026, with potential of moving into a full-time position. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Contribute to technical engineering work in assigned areas of responsibility which may include word processing, data entry, CAD and/or GIS exhibits, and design construction drawings
• Participates in a variety of technical civil engineering work involving both field and office support of engineering projects
• Assist in the preparation of engineering studies and reports
• Assist with preparing documents to obtain necessary permits as required

Qualifications

Required:

• In the process of receiving BS in Agricultural, Biological, or Civil Engineering

Preferred

• Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D design software
• Knowledge of typical design software including WaterCAD, StormCAD & ICPR
• Knowledge of GIS software including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online

Additional Information

Compensation: Hourly wage depends on education and experience, plus statutory insurance requirements.
