Job Title: Student Support Advisor
Full-time, salary range: $40,000

Job Overview:
The Student Support Advisor plays a vital role in promoting the safety, well-being, and overall success of high school exchange students throughout their program experience. Working in close partnership with the Manager of Student Support, this role helps implement a robust system of support for students, volunteer host families, Local Coordinators, and international sending partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Success & Stakeholder Collaboration
Serve as a subject matter expert on policies and procedures related to students, host families, and Local Coordinator support, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and compliance with regulatory standards.
Foster strong, collaborative relationships with assigned international partner offices, overseeing the success of their participants through regular communication, check-ins, and timely field support for mediation and conflict resolution.
Assist the Manager of Student Support in identifying training needs, areas for improvement, and strategies for team development, with a focus on specific student groups and sending countries.
Collaborate cross-functionally with placement and compliance teams to ensure cohesive communication and consistent adherence to U.S. Department of State regulations and internal protocols.
Support the team in crisis response for student-related incidents, ensuring appropriate documentation, communication, and safety procedures are followed.
Represent the organization in meetings, site visits, and training sessions with both domestic and international stakeholders.

This position requires the ability to perform tasks that may include extended periods of sitting at a desk using a computer and engaging in office-related activities. The ideal candidate should be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time; use a computer an keyboard for extended hours; communicate clearly in person, by phone, and via email.
