Student Support Services - Adult Student Advisor

SALARY: $44,922.44 - $67,384.71
SUMMARY
The Student Support Services Adult Student Advisor is a 12-month, full-time position that will recruit and work with students over 25 years old through their admission and onboarding, advise them on coursework and college resources, and support them throughout their time on campus. They will also work with community agencies to identify potential student populations for future cohorts. Some weekends and evenings are required. QUALIFICAITONS
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field preferred, or Bachelor's degree in a Human Services/Social Work-related field with two or more years of experience working with adults in an academic, workforce setting, or other adult cohort such as veterans or students enrolled in SUNY Reconnect.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Strong communication and computer skills are required.
Attention to detail and organizational skills required, as well as the ability to work with diverse student populations.
Experience with academic advisement and personal issues related to adult college students is highly recommended.
