  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    As a Student Wellness Coach, you will be responsible for:

    • Conducting one-on-one coaching sessions to support students in addressing mental health concerns and academic challenges
    • Developing and implementing effective wellness programs and workshops to enhance student well-being
    • Performing comprehensive wellness assessments and creating personalized action plans for students
    • Collaborating with campus partners to promote a culture of wellness throughout the institution
    • Providing guidance and resources to students facing various personal and academic challenges
    • Maintaining accurate and confidential records of student progress and interactions
    • Staying current with the latest developments in student wellness and mental health practices
    • Organizing and participating in outreach activities to promote wellness services
    • Responding to crisis situations and making appropriate referrals when necessary
    • Creating informative and engaging wellness materials and resources for student use

    This role requires a commitment to supporting student well-being and the ability to adapt to the evolving needs of the campus community.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Qualified candidates for the Student Wellness Coach position should possess the following:

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or a related field
    • Previous experience in student counseling, coaching, or related areas
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Proficiency in counseling and coaching techniques
    • Experience with stress management strategies
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Proficiency in wellness assessment tools and software
    • In-depth knowledge of mental health and wellness principles
    • Understanding of student development and academic challenges
    • Familiarity with campus resources and support services
    • Empathetic and supportive approach to student interactions
    • Ability to motivate and inspire students
    • Professional demeanor and commitment to confidentiality
    • Willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Certification as a National Wellness Institute Certified Wellness Practitioner or equivalent
    • Experience working in educational settings
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement wellness programs
    • Crisis intervention experience
