About the Role As a Studio Educator, you are a proactive, self-starting Esthetician and a true brand ambassador. You lead by example, delivering outstanding service, upholding sanitation standards, and creating personalized treatment and home care routines for clients. You’re a coach, sharing Heyday standards and skincare wisdom. You collaborate with Shop Leadership to ensure that Hosts and Estheticians are well-trained in services and product knowledge. You’ll spend approximately 30% of your time onboarding, training, and coaching, and 70% with clients in the treatment room.
This role requires a Masters License for D.C.
What You’ll Do
Coach Estheticians to Success
Regularly assess estheticians on technical skills, shop sanitation, and training compliance.
Collaborate with Shop Managers on strategies to meet shop goals by analyzing KPIs and creating actionable plans.
Coach estheticians based on client feedback, providing targeted training to enhance technical and soft skills.
Work with the Studio Manager to create specific, time-bound action plans for each esthetician, supporting growth through structured education.
Continued Product and Service Education
Ensure estheticians follow protocols and communicate effectively with clients about treatments and home care.
Lead new product and service launches in your shop.
Conduct monthly workshops to enhance technical and communication skills.
Act as the shop’s product expert, educating all team members on retail offerings.
Onboarding and Training of New Estheticians
Schedule and conduct new hire training (Foundations) according to Heyday’s standards.
Observe and support new hires as they transition to the floor, working with managers to ensure their success.
Provide ongoing training and coaching within the new hire’s first 90 days to reinforce standards.
Recruiting Estheticians
Partner with Studio Managers and Recruiting to support hiring processes.
Host recruiting events, including career fairs and school visits.
Build local relationships for referrals from estheticians and nearby spas.
Be a Leading Voice in the Shop
Coach team members on communication for seamless transitions from FOH to the treatment room.
Serve as a treatment room expert, modeling an elevated client experience.
Identify hospitality opportunities by utilizing AskNicely survey insights.
Act as the in-shop product knowledge expert.
The Ideal Candidate
Valid esthetics license in the state of application with at least 2 years of experience.
Ability to build trust and relationships.
Results-oriented with experience in coaching and feedback delivery.
Skilled at balancing multiple tasks.
Passionate about helping others succeed.
Experience as a Lead Esthetician or in an esthetics education role is a plus.
Self-motivated and proactive.
