    Compensation: Competitive $25.50 - $28.00 per hour

    Schedule: Part-time up to 16 hours per week Duration: Through June 2026

    About ELSO Inc.: ELSO (Experience Life Science Outdoors) is a youth-centered nonprofit dedicated to creating transformative learning experiences for youth of color. Through our Studio Justice program, we empower young people to explore justice, design, and community building in a supportive and affirming environment.

    Position Overview: We are hiring a Cohort Engagement Instructor (CE Instructor) to support our Texas-based Studio Justice cohort. This role is central to ensuring smooth communication and coordination across participants, families, and community partners, while fostering a vibrant and inclusive learning environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Serve as the primary point of contact for communications with participants, parents, guest speakers, and panelists

    Coordinate logistics and scheduling for guest professionals and visitors

    Support 8-9 week cohort engagement for 15–18 youth (ages 14–20)

    Help cultivate a culture of affirmation, creativity, and justice-centered learning

    Lead restorative justice practices and model Studio Justice values

    Collaborate closely with the Lead Instructor and Program Administrator

    Qualifications:

    High School Graduate, or GED completion

    Experience designing and implementing curriculum and programing for youth ages 14 – 20

    Strong communication and organizational skills

    Experience working with youth in educational or community settings

    Ability to manage multiple relationships and logistics with professionalism

    Familiarity with restorative justice and youth development principles

    Proficiency with, or willingness to learn, Zoom, Adobe Acrobat, Google applications such as Gmail, drive, docs, sheets, slides, forms, etc.

    Presentation and instructional software such as Miro and Sketchup

    Must be able to pass a background check as required by the Oregon Department of Education for positions working directly with youth and have a clean driving record in the previous year
