    Job Description

    We are seeking a Studio Manager for our Interior Design firm. The Studio Manager is responsible for working with the Principal to create the infrastructure of the studio and to ensure it runs smoothly particularly when the Principal is away. They are an authority for the design team and a conduit to the additional team members such as the Lawyer, Accountant, PR Consultant, and Bookkeeper. The Studio Manager is instrumental in upholding the company culture and ensuring all employees are fully supported in their own professional development.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    Administrative responsibilities:

    · Manages studio maintenance including: office supply orders, cleaning staff, garbage, property repairs and upgrades.

    · Manages all phone messages

    · Manages all IT software/hardware licensing, issues & upgrades

    · Manages all license and insurance renewals

    · Manages all benefits service providers

    · Manages all tax correspondence with accountant

    · Manages the bookkeeper and requests monthly P&L and profitability reports

    · Confirm employee time entries are accurately and consistently entered in Studio Designer

    · Oversee timely payment of all consultants and vendors

    · Manages tenant relationships keeping all paperwork filed accordingly and acting as main contact for tenant needs.

    · Maintains accuracy of studio management-related Trainual topics

    · Oversees Office Asana tasks

     

    Human Resources responsibilities:

    · Maintains all Personnel files including Job Descriptions, Tax & Payroll forms, Handbooks, Reviews, PTO Request Forms, Resumes, and Development.

    · Manages Employee Review Schedule

    · Manages Hiring Systems for Design Team from job posting creation, to posting, to scheduling interviews, sending offer letters and onboarding.

    · Ensures Studio Munroe is up-to-date with all CA DOL laws

    · Acts as the benefits manager, including Payroll oversight

    · Coordinates team building and office events as delegated by Owner

    · Trains new employees on facilities and studio processes

     

    Business Development:

    · Manages the company client relationship management tools

    · Liaise with Publicist to ensure timely receipt of PR deliverables, website development and content additions. Content Calendar management.

     

    Client Management:

    · Manages Client and Photo Usage Agreement submission and client onboarding in database

     

    QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

    4 year College degree

    5+ years of similar experience. Design field a plus.

    Must have car and valid drivers license

     

    Pay rate: Salaried, with benefits. Commensurate with experience

    PHYSCIAL DEMANDS:

    Most work tasks are performed in a space where the environmental conditions vary widely.

    Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours per day.

    Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments of the property or other areas on a timely basis.

    Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.

    Must be able to move items weighing in excess of 50 lbs. routinely.

    Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to perform daily tasks.

    Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity

    Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and subordinates.

    Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.

    Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.

    Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate basic design equipment.

    Must be able to work well under pressure managing multiple deadlines.

    Ability to work with potential allergenic properties inherent in various materials.
