Studs is an experiential retail and e-commerce brand that has re-imagined the ear piercing experience. Our apprenticeship program is an opportunity for you to observe and learn how to pierce from highly qualified Studs professionals in a real-world setting. The program includes classroom style learning, observation, and hands-on training. 

WE’RE LOOKING FOR BOSTON-BASED APPRENTICES TO JOIN OUR AUGUST TRAINING PROGRAM: 

• DURATION: The Apprenticeship is a 5 week commitment, August 16th-September 13th, Monday-Wednesdays

• LOCATION: Studs Studio (100 Seaport Blvd Suite 85E & 85F)

As an apprentice, you will be taught various skills to become a well-rounded piercer including: Sterilization; bedside manner; piercing techniques; workplace safety practices; materials, equipment, and supplies training. At Studs we only pierce ears and we only use single use needles.

Throughout the 5-week program, Studs will provide useful resources that will help you develop your piercing skills. Training Includes:

• 50+ hours with a mentor

• 50+ hours of documented procedure observation

• 50+ piercings performed under mentor supervision

PROGRAM FEE, EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY, & REIMBURSEMENT:

• The program includes a $300 fee that you must pay prior or upon your start date. Upon completion of the Apprenticeship, you will be eligible for, but not entitled to, employment at Studs.

• IF YOU ARE OFFERED A POSITION AT STUDS AS A PIERCER FOLLOWING COMPLETION OF THE PROGRAM, THE APPRENTICESHIP FEE WILL BE REFUNDED IN FULL AFTER SIX (6) MONTHS OF CONTINUOUS SERVICE WITH THE COMPANY AS A PIERCER. YOUR ANNUAL SALARY WOULD BE $65,000 + TIPS.

• If you choose to resign from the Apprenticeship prior to its completion, the Apprenticeship Fee shall not be refunded.

• If Studs terminates the Apprenticeship early, the Apprenticeship Fee will be refunded on a prorated basis.

We’re currently recruiting for our Boston apprentice class, which kicks off mid-August. We also launch new apprentice classes on a rolling basis and you can apply for future classes that will train from our store locations in NYC, Boston, Austin and LA:

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be 18+ years of age

• A passion for delivering outstanding customer experience

• Interest in full or part-time role as a Studs piercer, upon program completion

• Interest in potentially relocating to new Studs locations
