    The SEO & OUTREACH MANAGER is a key role at Study.com, that will support with growing a sizable portion of revenue and traffic. The position requires SEO subject matter expertise, strategic mindset, deep collaboration with in-house and contracted teams.  

    This is a fast-paced role with a high bar for digital, content marketing and SEO expertise. Study.com has thousands of pages of robust content and receives over 40M sessions each month. This role will support with promoting and marketing our high-quality content to relevant segments and measure success with backlinks.  

    As a member of the Growth team, this role will be exposed to all types of traffic (organic, paid and owned) and will have the opportunity to support and build expertise across omni-channel efforts. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in building an in-house promotions and outreach program for a cutting edge EdTech company with an established SEO footprint.

    ABOUT THE SEO & OUTREACH MANAGER POSITION

    Responsibilities 

    • Assist with developing and implementing SEO strategy 
    • Promoting and marketing our high-quality content to the most relevant segments and partners 
    • Drive content marketing strategy to acquire backlinks at scale and grow organic rankings 
    • Work with internal and external teams to develop a process to scale link building promotion and outreach 
    • Scale promotion and outreach methods with contractor network sourcing on Upwork and other sources
    • Conduct keyword ranking analysis and research to inform content strategy and forecasting for building links to improve rankings and traffic 
    • Measure and analyze the effectiveness and ROI of all link building activities  
    • Regularly analyze backlink profile to ensure healthy links and backlink profile 
    • Support with broader SEO on-site SEO optimizations and experiments  
    • Explain SEO traffic patterns and understand all search engine algorithm changes 
    • Monitoring SEO trends and staying current with latest SEO technologies

     

    Requirements 

    • 5+ years of experience and proven track record in developing successful SEO and outreach plans 
    • Experience working in a strong metrics driven culture to measure the performance of SEO 
    • Knowledge in developing content marketing plans and roadmaps for acquiring backlinks 
    • Exhibit willingness and flexibility to work in a small team environment and support  
    • Expertise in search engine algorithms, white hat practices and working with a large volume of content 
    • Expertise with Google Search Console, Webmaster tools, Ahrefs, BuzzStream and additional SEO tools such as Brightedge, Conductor or Search Metrics 
    • Proven success in link building and viral strategies 
    • Prioritize initiatives with internal stakeholders across Marketing, Product, Engineering and Data Science 
    • Experience with SEO and linkbuilding KPIs & reporting
