SUMMARY
Styskal, Wiese & Melchione, LLP (“SW&M”) is a progressive, transactional-based, boutique law firm with 14 attorneys. Dedicated to representing hundreds of credit unions and other financial institutions nationwide, SW&M offers its clients unsurpassed expertise, service, and exceptional counsel on the broad range of issues affecting the banking and financial industry. The firm’s practice areas encompass a full range of legal representation, including issues related to corporate governance, regulatory compliance, employment, insurance, mergers and acquisitions, executive compensation, real estate, technology contracts, intellectual property, member accounts, and chartering and field of membership.
SW&M is seeking a seasoned marketing professional to lead the marketing and business development efforts. This role works closely with the Partners and/or Office Administrator to establish, implement, and execute business objections. This role is for an enthusiastic, highly collaborative marking individual who possesses both creative and business skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Develop and execute strategic Business to People (B2P) marketing initiatives and activities aligned with Firm goals.
- Remain current with marketing, business development and communications trends and strategies.
- Coordinate, implement, and manage marketing communication projects, including announcements of new developments, webinars, presentations, and ongoing client relations efforts.
- Participate in strategy meetings with Partners to develop brand awareness through advertising and social media to further the firm’s mission.
- Strategize with different practice groups to create business development plans and establish their position within specialized industries and create opportunities for exposure.
- Evaluate ongoing effectiveness of marketing efforts, best practices, and recommend new course of action.
- Oversee and update content on company website, blogs, and social media outlets.
- Coordinate with Partners and Attorneys to obtain content to regularly posts on LinkedIn, firm website and other professional networking social platforms.
- Coordinate distribution of email marketing campaigns and thought leadership materials.
- Manage legal award submissions including Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers, etc.
- Propose and maintain marketing and business development budgets.
- Maintain marketing technology systems, including CRM database, Outlook, Clio, and Mailchimp.
- Maintain and develop e-mail campaign templates.
- Research, identify, and coordinate new networking and professional development opportunities, industry conferences (in-person, virtual and hybrid conferences) and other speaking opportunities in the legal field.
- Organize conferences attendance, speaking engagements and travel arrangements for attorneys.
- Manage and helps facilitate updates to attorneys’ biographies and profiles.
- Organize internal and external special events including annual seminars, quarterly webinars, occasional client meetings, and internal team-building events.
- Format, proofread, coordinate bulletins and mass-client communications, including e-mail blasts and print legal updates.
- Format and arrange printing of products such as manuals, business cards, etc.
- Prepare and provide status reports on marketing efforts by communicating with attorneys and staff, monthly reporting to the Marketing Committee, and quarterly reporting to all partners.
- Liaise with web developers and designers to keep website up to date.
- Manage print contractors and other promotional vendors.
- Assist with other general office duties as assigned.
GENERAL ATTRIBUTES
- Demonstratable experience with: SEO/SEM and Google Analytics (is a plus), WordPress or other similar Content Management Systems (CMS), Mailchimp, Canva and Vimeo, Clio or similar CRM software
- Solid working knowledge of website, marketing, analytics, and ad serving tools.
- Ability to multitask on numerous assignments and deadlines simultaneously with minimal supervision
- Ability to prioritize assignments and meet firm deadlines, pay close attention to detail, and maintain accuracy.
- Possess a high degree of self-accountability and ownership relating to assignments and initiatives.
- Critical thinker with strong problem-solving and research proficiencies.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education / Experience)
- Bachelor's degree in marking, communications, or related field (essential).
- 2-6 years of experience in content management, creative writing, and advertising.
- Prior Law Firm marking experience or similar professional firm experience is a plus
