    INTECON, LLC is seeking a highly motivated Engineer, Systems III to support U.S. Navy Submarine Hull, Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E) system modernization efforts under contract with the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD), Code 24. This role requires expertise in submarine system engineering, analog control diagnostics, and lifecycle support of modernization initiatives.

    Roles and Responsibilities :

    The roles shall include:

    • Serve as a technical lead and system integrator for submarine HM&E system modifications, coordinating system design, development, testing, and implementation.
    • Lead Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in assessing system performance, troubleshooting analog control system faults, and identifying corrective engineering actions.
    • Oversee the development and management of engineering drawings, ensuring alignment with ship alteration requirements and NAVSEA standards.
    • Interface with Program Managers, ISEAs, Shipyards, and OEMs to ensure alignment on system upgrades, integration timelines, and deliverable quality.
    • Guide and review engineering change proposals (ECPs), ship alteration records, and configuration control packages.
    • Support onboard installation validations, test readiness assessments, and post-installation system performance evaluations.

    Qualifications :

    Education :

    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or Maritime Academy.

    Experience :

    • Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated subject matter expertise in system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and analog control engineering for U.S. Navy Submarines.
    • Proven experience leading technical teams in submarine system upgrades, including oversight of design, testing, and training deliverables.
    • Expertise in ship alteration integration, drawing coordination, and modernization planning.
    • Familiarity with applicable Navy documentation standards, including ECPs, DFSs, CASREPs, and system health assessments (SHA).

    Preferred Certifications and Training :

    • DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) Training
    • Navy Ship Systems Engineering Training
    • Configuration Management Process Certification
    • NAVSEA Drawing Review & Approval Training (preferred)

    Proficiency in:

    • Shipboard analog control systems (e.g., propulsion, auxiliary, HVAC, fluid systems)
    • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)
    • Engineering design tools and databases (e.g., AutoCAD, eDFS, eTracker)
    • NAVSEA Technical Specifications and Standards

    Security Clearance :

    Must possess and maintain a SECRET clearance.
