As the second member of our Communications team, you will work cross-functionally to help tell Substack’s story and shape our brand - internally and externally - while being an integral part of a rapidly growing Communications function. Externally, you will help elevate awareness of the amazing work being published on the platform while making sure the writer community has an understanding of the product and services we offer.
Internally, you will have the opportunity to develop company-wide initiatives and campaigns that educate and engage our workforce on our mission, strategic priorities, and business narrative.
Our ideal candidate is equal parts strategic and scrappy — you can articulate the big picture while driving stories from concept to launch. This is a tremendous career opportunity where you’ll learn the ins and outs of building a comms function at a fast-growing startup.
This role reports to our VP of Communications and is located in the San Francisco Bay Area or New York.
