Bridgemark, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counselor to join our residential treatment team serving adult men living with substance use disorders. The Counselor will provide individual and group counseling, develop and implement person-centered treatment plans, and support clients through all stages of their recovery journey. This position may include evening and weekend hours based on program needs.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct individual counseling sessions. Facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic group sessions. Develop and update person-centered treatment plans. Monitor and document client progress, behaviors, and participation in services. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR). Provide crisis intervention and support as needed. Collaborate with clinical supervisors, program staff, and referral sources to coordinate care. Participate in discharge planning, referrals, and aftercare coordination. Support clients in adhering to program rules and expectations. Uphold professional ethical standards and maintain appropriate client boundaries. Contribute to a safe, respectful, trauma-informed, and recovery-focused environment. Attend required trainings and stay current on best practices in substance use treatment. Participate in staff meetings and interdisciplinary team collaboration. Assist with audits, reviews, and other quality assurance or compliance activities.
Qualifications: Must hold one of the following Rhode Island licenses or credentials: Licensed Chemical Dependency Professional (LCDP) Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
