Job Summary The Counselor is responsible for the overall care of clients, ages 18+, helping them to break the cycle of addiction and return to their families and communities, in compliance with the Virginia Administrative Code regulations. The position will report to the Clinical Director and work collaboratively with other members of the clinical team.
Completion of the biopsychosocial assessment following pre-assessment
Developing and executing individualized treatment plans
Presenting clients in treatment team meetings
Maintaining contact with related external individuals
Discharge/referral planning
Conduct psychoeducational groups, therapeutic process groups, individual counseling, and other therapeutic activities
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with the Virginia Administrative Code regulations and agency policies and procedures.
Collaborate with other members of the clinical team to ensure that clients receive comprehensive and integrated care.
Attend regular supervision and training sessions to ensure compliance with the Virginia Administrative Code regulations and agency policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in social or health services field
Master's degree in social or health services field
Virginia license or certification: CSAC, LMSW, LCSW, LPC-Resident, LPC, LMFT
