Substation Electrical Engineering Manager (PE) – Physical Design

Location: Remote / Work from Home

Job Summary:

• Lead and mentor a multi-discipline team delivering substation physical designs for utility and EPC clients
• Serve as technical lead and strategic oversight for project resources, budgets, schedules, and client relationships
• Guide engineers through complex transmission and distribution projects
• Review and approve design packages, drawings, and specifications for technical excellence
• Manage resources, performance, and development for a growing national substation group
• Partner with leadership on business development and recruiting initiatives
• Champion a culture of learning, innovation, collaboration, and inclusion across the team
• Requires a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering and an active PE license (PMP a plus)
• Requires 15+ years of physical substation design experience, including 4+ years in leadership, with deep knowledge of high-voltage substation design, general arrangements, grounding plans, bus configurations, and utility industry standards
