    Compensation

    • Starting salary: $135,000 – 160,000

    Position Summary

    The Substation Engineer III manages and supports electrical substation projects with a focus on substation physical and protection and control (P&C) engineering. This role performs complex technical design and analysis, manages project scope, schedules, budgets, and quality, develops client relationships, coordinates with regulatory agencies, and provides supervision and training to project team members.

    Job Function

    • Manage small, diverse projects and occasionally larger, more complex projects involving multidisciplinary teams.
    • Perform complex technical research, calculations, modeling, design, and report writing to complete assigned tasks and projects.
    • Develop and maintain client relationships while serving as a secondary client contact for projects.
    • Assist in developing project strategies, scopes of work, and budgets.
    • Track work progress against project schedules and budgets using project management software.
    • Supervise and train project team members and provide work assignments.
    • Maintain overall project quality in accordance with professional standards.
    • Interact with regulatory agencies and provide appropriate information following internal or client review.

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
    • 5-7+ years of experience in substation physical and protection and control (P&C) engineering within a consulting environment.

    Qualifications

    • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to manage technical work, project scope, schedules, budgets, quality, and multidisciplinary coordination.
