Substation Physical Designer

Job Summary:

• Lead the design process on complex substation projects to ensure all design solutions meet client needs, quality standards, and project goals
• Prepare and review design documentation, including detailed drawings, specifications, and other technical documents for accuracy, compliance, and feasibility
• Maintain project documentation including scoping documents, design inputs, quality checklists, and project filing systems
• Oversee scope and quality review processes to ensure adherence to client specifications and high-quality standards
• Proactively monitor and resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle while managing time effectively to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Apply industry-standard design practices, codes, and regulations across large, complex power delivery projects
• Communicate and coordinate effectively with clients and cross-functional teams
• Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD to support design deliverables
