Purpose: To help fulfill the mission of Hill Country Christian School of Austin by coordinating lunch service during the Lunch Coordinator’s absence.
Accountability: Reports to Substitute Coordinator
FLSA Status: Exempt, Hourly
Qualifications:
- Must be a Christ-follower who upholds, in word and deed, the Hill Country Christian School of Austin’s Core Values and Statement of Faith.
- Must faithfully attend a church whose fundamental beliefs are in agreement with the Statement of Faith of this school.
- Must have experience working with children and computer skills.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail, solve problems effectively and efficiently in a service-oriented manner.
- Must have experience working with children and ability to communicate effectively.
- Demonstrated skills in using spreadsheets and learning new computer software or systems.
Responsibilities:
- Follows the Lunch Coordinator Procedures as reviewed during training.
- Navigate the lunch system database to fulfill lunch orders.Communicate effectively with the catering and operations team.
- Assist with resolving lunch ordering issues as needed.
- Maintains a neat and orderly environment in the cafeteria and office.
- Knows emergency evacuation procedures.
- Interacts in a Christ-like manner at all times. Utilize the interpersonal relationship method of “Matthew 18” as commanded by Jesus Christ.
- Adheres to procedures in the Substitute Handbook.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently lifting 5-20 pounds and moving lunch tables in and out of the cafeteria.
- Exposure to a variety of childhood and adult diseases and illnesses.
