Substitute Teacher – San Antonio, TX

Teachers Now is looking for dependable, dedicated Substitute Teachers to step into San Antonio classrooms and make an immediate impact. In this role, you’ll help keep lessons moving forward, provide stability for students, and contribute to a positive, productive school environment when full-time educators are unavailable.
Compensation
$90–$120 per day
(Determined by your education level and/or valid Texas teaching certification)
What You’ll Do
Bring lessons to life using the plans prepared by the classroom teacher
Foster a respectful, well-managed, and engaging environment for learning
Encourage participation while guiding student behavior in a positive way
Supervise students during class, lunch, recess, and hallway transitions
Assign, collect, and review classwork in alignment with the day’s objectives
Record attendance and promptly share concerns with school staff
Collaborate with teachers and administrators to support learning outcomes
For extended assignments, create and deliver your own lesson plans that meet curriculum standards
Schedule
Monday–Friday availability required
Full Day: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Half Day: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
What You’ll Bring
Associate degree or at least 60 college credit hours (required)
Bachelor’s degree or Texas Teaching Certificate (preferred)
A minimum of 1 year of classroom or childcare experience
Strong communication skills and a confident classroom presence
Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality
