Responsibilities: • Partner with hiring managers to understand their employment needs and develop comprehensive job descriptions and requirements. • Utilize various recruitment methods to source and attract qualified candidates, including online job boards, social media platforms, networking events, and industry-specific sources. • Review resumes and applications, conduct initial screenings, and perform phone and in-person interviews to assess candidates' qualifications and fit with our company culture. • Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers and assist in the evaluation and selection process. • Conduct thorough reference and background checks on potential candidates. • Manage the applicant tracking system and maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records. • Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement recruitment strategies, including employer branding initiatives and talent acquisition programs. • Participate in career fairs, industry conferences, and other recruitment events to promote Sugar Creek Transportation as an employer of choice. • Stay informed about industry trends, recruitment best practices, and legal requirements to ensure compliance and optimize recruitment strategies. • Provide regular updates and reports on recruitment activities to management. Qualifications: • Relevant certifications are a plus. • Proven experience (minimum of 2 years) as a Recruiter or Talent Acquisition Specialist, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry. • Strong knowledge of recruitment strategies, tools, and techniques. • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and HRIS software. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with candidates and internal stakeholders. • Strong interviewing and assessment skills, with the ability to evaluate candidates' qualifications and potential. • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity. • Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. • Strong organizational and time management skills.
