    MANAGER OF STRATEGIC PRICING

    A highly respected, mid-sized law firm has engaged SuiteSpot Executive Search, LLC to assist in its search for a Manager of Strategic Pricing. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this is an exempt salary position located in Atlanta, GA.

    The Position: The Manager of Strategic Pricing will collaborate closely with Practice leadership, other Partners and Business Development professionals to develop strategic pricing models that create internal and external client value. This role will be responsible for developing the Firm’s internal pricing processes, implementing appropriate digital tools, and providing exposure to creative pricing and value-based fee arrangements. As the role evolves, it will become both attorney- and client-facing, attorney education and practice management coaching will be incorporated, and the function will serve as a strategic means to enhance client relationships.

    The Candidate: The ideal candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree; MBA, J.D. or other graduate degree preferred and legal pricing certification preferred. A minimum of seven years of progressively increasing responsibility is required, preferably in a law firm setting. 

    The successful candidate will be analytical, strategic and resourceful. He/she will additionally possess:

    • Strong track record of supporting and coaching decision makers and client-facing professionals on pricing strategy and RFP responses;
    • Ability to advise Partners and other professionals with a consultative, non-threatening approach;
    • Ability to manage change and gain consensus when presenting new processes;
    • Working knowledge of professional services pricing, value-based fee arrangements, costing of professional services and profitability measurement methodologies;
    • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare concise reports to assist management in making investment decisions and risk assessments;
    • Ability to lead and manage the application of systems and technology to the processes involved in critical pricing and project management activities;
    • Experience, facility and technical skills in working with large data sets and the tools used to mine and manipulate them for analysis and presentation;
    • Excellent communication skills, confident presence, and interpersonal skills that enable effective engagement and collaboration with attorneys, as well as with Finance, Business Development and Information Technology professionals;
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and complete tasks within tight timelines;
    • Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills;
    • Facility with process design and implementation;
    • Excellent client service attitude and goal-oriented work ethic.
