Responsibilities: • Spot legal issues with new matters • Review and analyze legal issues and provide practical solutions to clients • Draft motions, pleadings, memoranda, and briefs • prepare discovery and respond to questions • Attend and manage hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and court proceedings • Effectively communicate with clients and managing attorneys to understand the client's concerns and provide legal advice • Strong written and critical thinking skills and comprehensive and persuasive writing • Work both independently and as a contributing team member Qualifications: • Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) from an accredited law school • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas • 2+ years of civil litigation experience • comfortable with Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure • Comfortable with legal research and motion practice Compensation: $110,000 - $135,000 yearly
