    We are a boutique commercial law firm (9 attorneys) looking for a mid-level attorney (2+ years of experience). We are seeking an attorney passionate about being a true advisor and problem solver for businesses and business owners. This is a mid-level position for lawyers who desire to gain experience in our firm's practice area (business and IP litigation) and an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants to switch practice areas. Responsibilities: • Spot legal issues with new matters • Review and analyze legal issues and provide practical solutions to clients • Draft motions, pleadings, memoranda, and briefs • prepare discovery and respond to questions • Attend and manage hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and court proceedings • Effectively communicate with clients and managing attorneys to understand the client's concerns and provide legal advice • Strong written and critical thinking skills and comprehensive and persuasive writing • Work both independently and as a contributing team member Qualifications: • Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) from an accredited law school • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas • 2+ years of civil litigation experience • comfortable with Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure • Comfortable with legal research and motion practice Compensation: $110,000 - $135,000 yearly
