Bethesda CPA firm seeks ambitious team-oriented and experienced Accounting and Tax Advisors.

Sullivan & Company, CPAs is a certified public accounting firm offering a wide range of services for small and medium-sized businesses and Individuals in the entire DMV (DC, Maryland, and Virginia) area. We are looking for ambitious team-oriented **** and experienced Accounting & Tax Advisors for a long-term position working with clients directly. • Salary commensurate with education/work experience

Responsibilities:

• Record checks to the accounting software and reconcile bank statements and credit card statements on monthly basis
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Prepare tax returns for Individuals, Corporations, Partnerships, and Trusts
• Prepare monthly sales tax returns and quarterly payroll tax returns
• Performs special projects as assigned
• Draft responses to notices from the IRS and State taxing authorities
• Ability to manage multiple projects, simultaneously

Qualifications:

• This is an ideal position for students that have recently graduated in accounting majors or are graduating in accounting majors in 2023 and June 2024
• 0-2 years of experience in public accounting, preparing individual and/or business tax returns using relevant tax software
• Associate or Bachelors in Accounting field (Preferred)
• Accounting Majors for Internship
• CPA/EA candidate or passed CPA/EA exam (a plus)
• Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Capable of multi-tasking and completing projects before the deadline date
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, and QuickBooks (a plus)
• Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
