    DESCRIPTION:

    SumBridge is hiring a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst to join the team of our Eastside client. The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst serves as a leader in the review and preparation of the company’s GAAP financial statements as well as statutory financial statements and reporting. The person in this role will give heavy team support in technical accounting, analysis and implementing internal controls. A successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills and will approach work with a desire to learn and lead.

     RESPONSIBILITES:

     

    • Lead the preparation of GAAP and statutory financial statements
    • Complete ownership of report content and presentation
    • Schedule the reporting calendar and ensure deadlines are consistently met
    • Lead and assign responsibilities to accomplish reporting objectives
    • Prepare and review balances to documents gathered from multiple departments
    • Coordinate auditor's review of the financial statements
    • Guide peers to apply best practices
    • Exceptional at understanding and applying relevant GAAP reporting requirements
    • Guide the team with statutory external reporting on an annual basis
    • Review and prepare accounting policies and memos
    • Research new or complex technical accounting transactions and provide technical support to other departments
    • Stay up to date with accounting and finance developments and lead the department in these

     REQUIREMENTS:

     

    • Experienced preparing and reviewing statements
    • Well acquainted with GAAP and financial reporting requirements
    • Strong research skills and the ability to communicate complex accounting issues
    • Successful at building relationships across departments and effectively work with others
    • Creative in problem solving and decision making
    • Good time management and able to prioritize and multitask
    • Positive attitude and professional demeanor
    • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably at a Big 4 accounting firm
    • CPA or CPA-eligible, working towards license
