DESCRIPTION:

SumBridge is hiring a permanent, full-time position for a Billing Lead with a client in Spokane (The role is in Spokane.) The position is with a well-known and reputable non-profit organization. The Billing Lead role will provide high quality financial services to the company through supporting and ensuring the billing function operates effectively and efficiently. The Billing Lead will review complex billing and reporting arrangements with both governmental and non-governmental payers. The person in this role will ensure that billing meets deadlines and requirements specified using a variety of billing systems. The Billing Lead will interface with other financial and accounting team members to ensure all billing requirements are met.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and submit comprehensive billing and supporting documents for contracts
• Ensure contracts are current, accurate and on time
• Must have a thorough understanding of contracts and costs
• Create journal entry adjustments when needed
• Proficient and able to use a variety of online billing platforms
• Analyze data submitted electronically for billing
• Review billing specialists to ensure billing is on time and meets internal metrics
• Resolve all types of billing issues
• Assist with collections of receivables
• Collaborate with managers to establish seamless billing and payment processes
• Review and prepare reports to funders
• Reconcile accounts receivable
• Help with special projects as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to learn new systems quickly

• Ability to work collaboratively with others

• Intermediate MS Excel skills

• Ability to think critically and communicate ideas clearly

• Regular and predictable attendance

• High ethical standards

• Professional demeanor

• Two years of accounting or finance experience

• Direct experience providing customer service

• Experience with project accounting or not-for-profit organizations preferred

• Experience in the healthcare industry, preferred

   

  Education and Training:

  • Bachelors or Associate’s Degree required in accounting, finance, or business administration
  • Training in healthcare billing highly preferred
