    SumBridge is hiring a Senior Accountant to join a growing South Seattle based company.     RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Interact and manage relationships with various levels of management in order to timely and accurately prepare all necessary month-end, quarter-end, and year-end supporting documentation for the accounting close.
    • Perform monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts, including inventory, accounts receivable, cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accounts payable, accrued expenses and intercompany accounts. Research variances and record adjustments to correct account balances prior to their submission to the management team, to ensure the highest levels of accuracy.
    • Assist management with the annual budgeting and reforecasting process. On a monthly basis, analyze and investigate budget vs. actual results for revenues, gross margin and operating expenses, and works with the business to provide explanation of variances and/or record any necessary corrections to ensure that the financial statements are properly stated.
    • Create working capital metrics and reporting for inventory. Track actuals compared to forecast and implement improvements to drive working capital efficiency.
    • Maintain consistent communication with operational teams regarding inventory counts and monthly inventory transactions to record and improve upon established reporting processes.
    • Maintain relationships with mission customers through sending invoices and partnering with 5.11 Accounts Receivable team to oversee monthly collection efforts.
    • Maintain relationships with vendors and 5.11 Accounts Payable team to ensure timely payments are made.
    • Review credit card spending activity from department managers and help ensure team is uploading receipts on a monthly basis per company policy.
    • Ensure transactions are appropriately being accounted for under US GAAP.
    • Help implement or improve existing processes to minimize risk and increase internal controls to ensure compliance with internal control framework under COSO.
    • Able to produce a variety of complex reports and/or analyses on an ad-hoc basis in response to executive or upper management inquiries.
    • Provide support and aid to internal and external audits
    • Carry out other assigned tasks as needed.

       

      QUALIFICATIONS:

    • A Bachelor’s or equivalent degree from an accredited university in accounting or finance.
    • 2-3 years of public accounting experience, or 5+ years of industry experience with demonstrated levels of advancement.
    • Solid understanding of accounting principles and concepts based on US GAAP.
    • Certified Public Accountant a plus.
    • Prior experience with inventory in a manufacturing or retail environment a plus.
    • Experience with Oracle’s Netsuite ERP system a plus.
    • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with emphasis on meeting tight deadlines
    • Extensive computer experience including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, advanced Excel skills required.
