  • Responsibilities

    MOTION PLANNING RESEARCH ENGINEERING INTERN

    You will be part of the Motion Planning Research (MPR) team. The team is responsible for developing novel motion planning and decision-making algorithms which will integrate Motinal’s next generation of autonomous vehicles.

    At MPR you will:

    • Focus on solving real navigation problems and propose cutting-edge solutions which will enable the next generation of AVs to navigate diverse scenarios.

    • Collaborate and coordinate with other teams to ensure alignment of efforts for algorithm deployment.

    • Support enhancing safety of autonomous vehicles by incorporating SOTA approaches in our software stack.

    • Be part of a team placed between research and deployment, working on novel solutions with a tangible result oriented drive.

    WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

    • You will study the SoA approaches applicable to solve a real self-driving problem.

    • You will directly contribute to the development of novel methods to handle challenging autonomous driving scenarios.

    • You will learn how to design and build robust, scalable and reliable codebase.

    • You will work together with a team of top engineers and scientists.

    • You will have the opportunity to test your work on a real self-driving vehicle and publish the results.

    WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

    We are looking for a passionate robotics scientist to help us make autonomous vehicles a reality. You should have:

    • Working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field

    • Knowledge of the motion planning problem and the main approaches

    • Deep knowledge of optimization methods and frameworks

    • Proficient in software engineering, with familiarity of modern C++

    • Familiar with Linux environments

    • Curiosity and critical thinking

    The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors including but not limited to specific skills, experience and expertise, role location, certifications, licenses, and business needs.
