Summer Camp Coach

Position Summary

The Summer Camp Coach is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and energetic environment for children participating in our summer camp program. This role involves leading activities, supervising youth, promoting positive behavior, and ensuring every child has a fun and memorable experience while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Responsibilities

Supervise and engage youth throughout daily activities.

Lead structured games, sports, fitness activities, crafts, and team-building exercises.

Ensure the safety and well-being of all youth at all times.

Facilitate check-in and check-out procedures while maintaining accurate attendance records.

Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for children of all ages and abilities.

Encourage participation, teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence-building.

Set up, organize, and clean up equipment and activity areas.

Communicate professionally with parents, guardians, and fellow staff members.

Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and emergency action plans.

Assist with special events, field trips, and themed camp days as needed.

Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating professionalism, enthusiasm, and leadership.

Qualifications

Previous experience working with children in a camp, coaching, childcare, education, or recreational setting preferred.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage groups of children in a structured and positive manner.

Ability to remain active and engaged throughout the workday.

Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, run, and participate in physical activities for extended periods.

Ability to lift and move equipment up to 25 pounds.

Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Schedule

Seasonal position with flexible weekday hours during summer camp operations. Availability during camp hours is required.
