Part-Time | Weekdays (June–August)

Camp Schedule:

Half Day: 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Full Day: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM

About D-BAT Virginia Beach

D-BAT Virginia Beach is a premier baseball and softball training facility dedicated to developing players of all ages and skill levels. We provide high-quality instruction in a positive, high-energy environment that builds confidence, character, and skill development both on and off the field.

Position Overview

D-BAT Virginia Beach is seeking energetic, knowledgeable, and reliable Summer Camp Instructors to lead youth baseball and softball camps throughout the summer.

This role is ideal for college athletes, high school teachers, and coaches who are passionate about developing young players in a structured, high-energy environment.

Instructors will lead and assist with camps for athletes ages 6–13, focusing on fundamentals, skill development, and creating a fun, engaging experience.

This position reports directly to the Summer Camp Director and General Manager.

Responsibilities

Lead and assist with daily baseball and softball camp activities

Teach fundamentals including hitting, fielding, throwing, pitching, and catching

Run structured drills, stations, and group activities

Create a fun, safe, and organized learning environment

Provide clear instruction, feedback, and encouragement to athletes

Communicate effectively with staff and parents

Assist with daily setup, cleanup, and equipment organization

Qualifications

College playing experience preferred OR significant coaching experience required

Strong communication and leadership skills

Ability to manage and engage groups of youth athletes

Energetic, dependable, and team-oriented

Passion for developing young athletes
