Essential Functions:
Able to work with children of all ages, with an emphasis on ages 4-12
Able to collaborate with the Camp Director and other camp coaches on how to structure a fun day of camp!
Learn on-the-job how to pace a half-day or a full day of summer camp matching the Camp Director’s criteria
Be a trustworthy figure for campers with diversified needs in the gym setting, but also for daily life tasks such as lunch break help, emotional regulation around other children
Maintain a safe environment in accordance with all USAG guidelines and Golden Gymnastics company standards, including class set-up, spotting, and coaching according to SafeSport policy
Be able to facilitate a massive amount of fun AND set clear expectations for students to follow - this dynamic is key for being a summer camp gymnastics coach!
Required Qualifications:
Must enjoy working with children for multiple hours in varied settings!
Be reliable and timely with all assigned shifts
Must be thorough with all assigned tasks, as the safety of the kids is in your hands
Consistent positive attitude - summer camp kids want to play all day! Your energy level will need to be able to match their want for fun
Have availability multiple days a week either from 7:45AM-1PM (morning half day), 12PM-4:30PM (afternoon half day), or both (full day)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience coaching gymnastics at the preschool, beginner, and intermediate levels
Experience working at a summer camp (day or overnight)
Experience working with children from many walks of life
